NTT launches new London headquarters after mega-merger

NTT said it has merged 28 of its companies, including NTT Communications, Dimension Data and NTT Security, to form one combined tech services provider.

The newly-formed firm, NTT Ltd, will employ more than 40,000 people in offices across more than 70 countries and regions, with headquarters in the City.

NTT Ltd will be led by Jason Goodall, former chief executive of Dimension Data.

“We’ve created a global technology services provider that delivers a full breadth of industry-leading products, solutions and managed services that address our clients’ business needs,” Goodall said.

“We are excited to be part of one of the world’s largest technology and business solutions providers and look forward to partnering with our clients around the world with our full range of capabilities.”

The Japanese firm said the merger will allow it to increase investment in research and development, and will give its clients access to a greater range of services.

NTT said it had considered a number of locations for its new headquarters before choosing London.

“It has many benefits, including a stable economy, wealth of skills and talent, diversity in population and thinking, strong infrastructure, schools and housing for global talent moving to the city,” said NTT president and chief executive Jun Sawada.
