  • ScotlandIS has opened applications for its Digital Technology Awards 2027
  • 11 categories are available to enter by 7 January 2027
  • Includes new Digital Skills Impact Award to recognise contribution to skills development within the technology sector
  • Past winners have been pulled from across Scotland including Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aviemore, Falkirk and Stornoway.

ScotlandIS, the membership and cluster management organisation for Scotland’s digital technologies industry, has opened applications for its flagship Digital Technology Awards.

Now in its 17th year, the awards look to recognise the breadth of talent, skill and innovation working within Scotland’s thriving technology sector. Applications will be open until 7 January 2027, with the winners announced at a ceremony in Glasgow on the 11 March 2027.

With categories ranging from Tech for Good to Cyber Excellence, there’s something for everyone. Past winners include Arnold Clark, Storm ID, 2i, NHS24, Gigged.AI, loveelectric, Quarch Technology, Illuminate IT and Closed Door Security.

New for 2027 is the Digital Skills Impact Award, open to technology companies, education and training providers, public sector organisations and partnerships. The winner will be recognised for meaningful contribution to developing and attracting talent for Scotland’s digital technology sector with a particular emphasis on inclusivity and impact.

Andrew Weir, CEO at ScotlandIS said: “Over the past few months I’ve had the privilege of speaking to many of our member organisations. From what I’ve observed, Scotland’s tech sector continues to demonstrate remarkable strength and resilience – regardless of the economic and geopolitical challenges it faces. These awards give us the chance to celebrate that – taking a moment to recognise the sheer level of talent, ambition and innovation that is driving our sector forward.

“While shining a light on technology is important, the people behind it also deserve appreciation. This is reflected by categories such as the AI Trailblazer and Digital Tech Rising Star. As I prepare for my first Digital Technology Awards as CEO, I’m looking forward to meeting and championing both the individuals and businesses whose work is creating a positive impact across our sector, economy and wider society.”

All entries will be judged by an independent panel of experts, and the shortlist will be released at the end of January 2027 before winners are announced in March at the Radisson Blu hotel in Glasgow.
