At the recently concluded Scottish EDGE Round 18 awards ceremony that took place on November 30th 2021, Unbaggaged was announced as one of the winners taking home a cash prize of £10,000.
The Young Edge Trophy was presented by David Shearer, Chairman at Stobart Group along the financial reward.
Founded in 2019 by Janani Prabhakaran after facing storing bags on her trip to London, the luggage storage industry craved a disruptive and innovative solution. Unbaggaged is the world’s first luggage concierge network connecting travellers wanting rid of bags with drivers who pick them up, store at nearby storage point return them where and when needed.
In regards with the future plan for Unbaggaged, Janani Prabhakaran says “we will continue to move forward with even more boldness and determination taking us to the next phase of growth. This prize money will be focused on improving our webapp and achieving our goal of storing 12,000 bags by the end of 12 months.”
Currently operating in Edinburgh, Unbaggaged aims to expand to Glasgow and London by the end of 2022, empowering travelling to travel hands free.
