BRIGHTRIDGE ACCELERATES GROWTH PLANS WITH SALES DIRECTOR APPOINTMENT
Scottish technology provider Brightridge has appointed experienced IT services professional Greig Scott as Sales Director, bringing forward its recruitment plans as the business targets further growth across Scotland and the UK.
The senior appointment follows a period of significant investment and growth for Livingston-headquartered Brightridge, which is approaching £3million turnover this year, up from £2million last year. The company has invested in new premises, strengthened its senior leadership team, expanded its cyber security capabilities and opened its first Aberdeen office.
Greig, who joined Brightridge on 1 October, brings almost 20 years’ experience across managed IT, connectivity, communications, infrastructure and cyber security. He has built an extensive network and long-standing client relationships spanning businesses, third sector organisations and public sector bodies across Scotland and the wider UK.
He joins from cyber security specialist Closed Door Security, which will continue to work in partnership with Brightridge.
Iain Bett, Founder and CEO of Brightridge Technology, said: “We have ambitious plans for the company and have invested significantly over the past year in our people, capabilities and infrastructure to support that growth.
“We hadn’t planned to expand our sales team quite yet, but when someone with Greig’s experience became available, we knew we had to move quickly. That reflects the faith we have in him and the impact we believe he can have on the business.
“Greig has an excellent track record and an extensive national network, but what really sets him apart is his ability to understand the bigger picture for a client. That fits perfectly with where Brightridge is today and with the way clients increasingly want to work with their technology partners”
Greig’s immediate priority will be engaging with existing Brightridge clients, ensuring they are getting the best value from their current services and introducing capabilities which may not have been available when their relationship with the company began.
Greig Scott said: “Brightridge is at an interesting stage of its growth and the opportunity to join the business at this point really appealed to me.
“I’m also looking forward to getting back to working across a wider MSP portfolio. I want to understand a client’s entire IT estate; what they already have, how it is working for them and where we can genuinely add value, because that’s where the opportunities to strengthen security and improve efficiency become clear.
“Brightridge has added significant capability in a relatively short period, particularly around cyber security, and can now support clients through the whole journey – from assessment and remediation to achieving the appropriate accreditation and helping maintain that standard.
“My initial focus will be spending time with our existing clients and making sure they are benefiting from everything we can now provide. I’m also looking forward to reconnecting with people I’ve worked with throughout my career and developing new relationships as we grow across Scotland and the wider UK.”
Greig will work across Brightridge’s Livingston headquarters and Aberdeen office, with responsibility for sales growth across the UK.
