Johnston Carmichael appoints four senior leaders, including its first chief tech officer

Scottish accountancy and business advisory heavyweight Johnston Carmichael has appointed four senior leaders, including its first chief technology officer.

The firm said the latest hires reflected its continued investment in its people, technology and specialist services as the practice grows its UK client base.

Tamsyn Weston has joined as chief technology officer, based in Edinburgh, leading the firm’s strategy across IT, cyber security, digital development, AI and automation. Meanwhile, Deborah Ramsay has joined as an audit partner in Glasgow, bringing more than 20 years of audit experience, including a Big Four background.

The firm, which has a UK headcount of about 800, has also appointed Katie Lange, who joins as a director in Aberdeen, while Leani Passano joins the audit quality, risk and technical team as director.
