Public Sector Cyber Upskilling Fund Autumn/Winter 2022

Are you interested in upskilling your employees in the area of cyber security, at no cost to your organisation?

Now is the time with support from the Public Sector Cyber Upskilling Fund.

This is a one-off scheme, funded by the Scottish Government and administered by ScotlandIS, the trade body for tech in Scotland. The fund will be allocated on a first come, first served arrangement so you should act fast to avoid disappointment.

The aim of the fund is to help public sector bodies improve and accredit the cyber security skills of their employees which in turn will help to make the organisation more cyber resilient.

As an employer you can claim up to £3000 per employee (maximum of £5000 per organisation) to pay for cyber skills training for your employees; simply fill out an application for each employee stating the course or qualification they wish to take and its cost.  You can find information and guidance about professional certification or other training available here.

In the first instance we are inviting applications from public sector bodies who meet the following criteria:

  • Emergency Services (Fire & Rescue & Ambulance Service)
  • Local Authorities
  • NHS Boards
  • Scottish Environment Protection Agency
  • Scottish Water

The funding must be spent before 31st March 2023.

This is a quick and easy way to access skills funding for employees, nurturing your workforce and adding value to your organisation.

You can apply for the fund here or email nicola.taylor@scotlandis.com to find out more.
