Department for Business and Trade (DBT) Japan will host a UK Active Cyber Defence Trade Mission to Japan and Taiwan from 2-6 February 2026.
Benefits include (to be shaped further closer to the time):
- Learn and explore more about Japan and Taiwan’s Cybersecurity market and the scale of opportunity
- Briefing from Japanese key stakeholders, such as Japanese Ministry of Defense, National Police Agency, Ministry of Economy Trade and Industry and National Cybersecurity Office (tbc) on Active Cyber Defence landscape in Japan
- Pitching event and networking reception at the British Embassy Tokyo to meet and network with key stakeholders
- Opportunity to engage with key stakeholders in Taiwan and pitching opportunity
UK companies with capability in Active Cyber Defence (detect, disrupt, and neutralise) and other expertise to strengthen the capabilities of public organisations are invited to apply.

The selection process will be completed and offers to participate will be communicated by 5 December 2025.
Please note: participation in the Japan leg of the mission (2 days) is free of charge. The Taiwan
leg (2 days) will have a participation fee to cover local arrangements. Companies may choose to join either or both parts of the mission. UK participants are responsible for their own travel, accommodation, and personal expenses.
