ScotlandIS Member Spotlight: Arctic Wolf

In this Member Spotlight we hear from new member, Arctic Wolf, on the shortage of skilled professionals creating an obstacle to cyber security in organisations and on joining ScotlandIS to support the collective effort to strengthen cyber resilience across the country.

Who is Arctic Wolf and what do you do?

Arctic Wolf is a global security operations leader, delivering a premier cloud-native security operations platform designed to end cyber risk. The Arctic Wolf Security Operations Cloud enables automated threat detection and response at scale, empowering organisations of virtually any size and industry to establish world-class security operations with the push of a button and to defend their greatest assets at the speed of data.

Tell us something unique or interesting about your organisation.

What truly differentiates Arctic Wolf is our Concierge Experience, pairing our security operations platform with a team of security experts aligned to each of our MDR customers, who provide a tailored security journey towards proactively strengthening your security posture over time, and tracking towards your org’s security and compliance goals. Together with our technology and human expertise, we deliver continuous protection and measurable security improvements, which is scalable, actionable, and backed by a trusted security partner.

What is your biggest achievement as an organisation?

Our biggest achievement as an organisation is helping customers end cyber risk by empowering them to strengthen their security posture and mitigate threats, regardless of size or industry. We’ve enabled thousands of organisations to gain clarity and confidence in their security operations through our open XDR platform and Concierge Delivery Model. This achievement reflects our commitment to making effective, enterprise-grade security accessible to everyone, not just large or well-resourced teams. We’ve also helped customers maximise the value of their existing tools, reducing complexity while improving real-world outcomes.

Most importantly, our work has directly supported organisations in preventing breaches, responding faster, and building long-term resilience. Delivering measurable, ongoing improvements in cyber posture across such a wide variety of sectors remains our proudest accomplishment.

What prompted you to become a member of ScotlandIS?

We joined ScotlandIS because we believe in thinking globally but acting locally, and with our team based in the region it made sense to be part of a strong local network. ScotlandIS connects us with peers across the industry, giving us the opportunity to share best practices and contribute to the cyber culture being built in Scotland. Becoming a member allows us to collaborate more closely with the community and support the collective effort to strengthen cyber resilience across the country.

What do you see as the main challenges for the tech industry in the UK and Scotland?

The tech industry across Scotland and the UK continues to face three major cybersecurity challenges. First is the shortage of skilled security professionals, making it difficult for organisations to assess their posture, identify weaknesses, and proactively improve resilience. Second, many organisations struggle to avoid vendor lock-in, limiting their ability to adapt their security stack and maximise the tools they already have. Finally, unpredictable, log-based pricing models make cybersecurity budgeting difficult and can create costly surprises mid-contract. Arctic Wolf solves this with unlimited log ingestion and predictable flat-rate pricing, giving organisations certainty and complete protection.

Addressing these challenges requires flexible technology, broad telemetry coverage, and access to specialist human expertise – which is exactly why we take this approach at Arctic Wolf.
