- Winners of the 2026 Digital Tech Awards were announced at a ceremony in Glasgow on Thursday night

ScotlandIS, the membership and cluster management organisation for Scotland’s digital technologies industry, has announced the winners of its 2026 Digital Tech Awards at a ceremony in Glasgow last night. Now in its 16th year, the awards celebrate the talent, innovation and ambition driving Scotland’s thriving tech sector.
Drawn from more than 100 entrants, 11 winners were selected by an independent panel of expert judges, including representatives from the worlds of data, cloud, AI, hardware, financial services and cyber security. Judging focused on organisations and individuals demonstrating outstanding impact on the industry and wider society.
Among those recognised was digital transformation specialist, Storm ID, which won the Tech for Good award for its Storm Diagnostics pathway solution that helps accelerate the diagnosis and treatment process for people living with long-term, complex medical conditions. In the Cyber Excellence category, Closed Door Security impressed judges with its journey from a one-man operation in Stornoway to a business serving a global customer base.
Quality assurance and software testing consultancy 2i made history as the first-ever winner of the new AI Trailblazer award, which recognises companies that are using AI to drive innovation and create measurable impact for their business or wider industry. The judges particularly commended 2i for the strength of its documented evidence demonstrating the improvements delivered through AI.
2i’s Bruce Devlin, quality engineer, also received individual recognition, picking up this year’s Digital Tech Rising Star award.

The companies and individuals pushing boundaries and showing resilience in the face of uncertainty are exactly why these awards exist; to shine a spotlight on the world-class talent we have here in Scotland.
“The calibre and diversity of this year’s winners was outstanding. As technology becomes embedded in almost every sector, we’ve seen an even broader range of organisations taking part in the awards – from learning platforms and banking giants to automotive retailers and beyond.
“Last year, ScotlandIS celebrated its 25th anniversary. It was a huge milestone but we’re not resting on our laurels yet. We owe it to the remarkable people who make Scotland’s tech sector so vibrant and dynamic to keep telling their stories, championing their impact and creating conditions for them to thrive both at home and on a global stage.”
