The Technology Economists have launched a first-of-its-kind certification course designed to equip professionals with the skills to lead strategic IT investment across organisations globally, with an introductory offer for ScotlandIS members.
Developed in partnership with Scottish edtech firm Jump Digital—a long-standing ScotlandIS member known for its innovation in digital learning and curriculum design—the course integrates Jump’s new AI-powered education tools to personalise learning and enhance engagement and outcomes.
Jump Digital played a leading role in shaping the course’s structure, content, and intuitive online delivery. The course also debuts Jump’s new AI-powered education products, enhancing personalisation, engagement, and learner outcomes.
As IT spending continues to climb—with organisations allocating up to 10% of revenues to technology—this course offers a strategic solution. Certified technology economists are equipped to optimise IT investment decisions and drive cost improvements of up to 15% through advanced analytics, economic modelling, and strategic planning.
ScotlandIS will be hosting a Technology Economist webinar as part of the recently announced Scottish Government National Innovation Week in September. Howard Rubin, Chief Explorer of the Technology Economists, will lead the session, highlighting how information technology invention and innovation have become driving forces behind productivity, performance, and economic leadership—and why nations must act now to build innovation-ready infrastructures, policies, and strategies.
You can book your place on the webinar here.
To further mark the launch of the course, the first 10 ScotlandIS members to sign up for the webinar (and must also attend) will be gifted free access to the Introductory module via the Future Ready membership platform.
