The National Robotarium is inviting organisations across Scotland’s robotics and autonomous systems RAS) community to complete a short survey and help shape what a future Scottish RAS Cluster should look like.
From advanced manufacturing and offshore energy to logistics and healthcare, robotics and automation are transforming the way we work. Although Scotland already leads in many of these areas, the challenge now is to connect that expertise, share knowledge, and accelerate innovation through collaboration.
The Scottish Robotics and Autonomous Systems (RAS) Cluster Pilot is a national initiative designed to explore and define what the future Scottish RAS Cluster should be. Working with robotics experts and organisations across the country, the pilot aims to understand the needs, opportunities, and strengths of Scotland’s robotics ecosystem, laying the groundwork for a cohesive and globally competitive cluster.
The RAS Cluster Pilot team is working with stakeholders from across the robotics supply chain – including manufacturing, production and design, science, industry and public services – to grow one of Scotland’s most dynamic and innovative technology sectors.
The RAS Cluster exists to:
- Connect Scotland’s robotics ecosystem – identify, map and unite the robotics supply chain, researchers, adopters, and innovators across the country.
- Create new business opportunities – through shared projects, partnerships, and supply chain collaboration.
- Accelerate technology adoption – bringing new products and services to market.
- Build Scotland’s skills and talent pipeline – driving new opportunities for current and future workforces to embed robotics, automation, and digital engineering skills into their professional development
- Influence policy and investment – engaging with decisionmakers in government and public services to ensure the sector has the support it needs to grow sustainably
We are seeking contributions from across Scotland’s robotics supply chain, including manufacturing, production and design, science, industry and public services.
You can complete the survey here – deadline for contributions is Friday 13 February, 11.59pm.
Your insight will help lay the foundations for a cohesive and globally competitive Scottish RAS Cluster.
