Edge Testing secures place on latest G-Cloud 11 framework

One of the UK’s fastest growing and largest independent software testing companies, Edge Testing Solutions, part of Eurofins Digital Testing, has been successfully awarded a place on the highly competitive G-Cloud 11  framework, the government’s latest iteration of its cloud and IT services procurement platform.

Operated by the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) on behalf of the UK Government, the G-Cloud framework is an initiative aimed at streamlining the procurement of cloud services by public sector organisations.

The framework is divided into three categories, or ‘lots’: Cloud Hosting (Lot 1), Cloud Software (Lot 2) and Cloud Support (Lot 3), with Edge Testing providing services under Cloud Support.

Having launched a new Security Division under its parent company in November 2018, Edge Testing’s presence on the G-Cloud 11 directory means that its software and security testing services are now available and can be accessed by UK public sector organisations seeking cloud support.

Edge Testing has been a G-Cloud supplier since 2013. Having been awarded supplier status on the Government’s Crown Commercial Service (CCS) framework for a seventh consecutive year, it will continue to offer a range of testing services to UK public sector without the need to tender or go through a competitive procurement process.

Sharon Hamilton, Managing Director, Edge Testing, commented: “Since being awarded G10 last year, we have welcomed 15 new clients, some of them from within the public sector. Thanks to our focus on maintaining a strong public sector practice, strengthened by our cyber security testing services and new G-Cloud 11 supplier status, we can continue to help public sector organisations reduce costs, whilst managing risk, implementing process efficiencies and positively improving service quality.”

Edge Testing was already on the G8, 9, 10, Digital Outcomes Specialists 2 and the CCS Quality Assurance and Testing frameworks, so this new G-Cloud award will support the company’s aim to support public sector bodies as they increasingly adopt cloud services.

Edge Testing’s public sector clients include Student Loans Company, Department of Health, Scottish Courts and Tribunals and SQA. As a G11 supplier, the software testing company will have the opportunity to extend its existing client base to encompass other UK-wide public sector bodies, from central government, local government, and devolved administrations, to health, education, emergency services, defence and not-for-profit organisations.

Under the G-Cloud 11 framework, Edge Testing is offering security solutions including:

  • Assessments
  • Compliance
  • Security program development
  • Training
  • Managed services
  • Device testing
  • Edge Academy Service
  • DTH
