Mike Wilson, Managing Director, Mearns & Gill

Mike is owner and Managing Director of Mearns & Gill, a full-service marketing agency with capabilities in Brand, Digital Marketing, Web Services, Advertising & PR and Event Management. Founded in 1936, the business is the longest serving creative marketing agency in Scotland.

With a background in the wholesale distribution and construction industries, Mike acquired Mearns & Gill in 2016. Having no previous experience in the creative industries, Mike had to rely on his business process & strategy skills to turn the business into the success it is today with the business achieving record-breaking profits for the year 2022-23.

Norton Bertram-Smith, Director, On Purpose

Norton is the founding director of On Purpose Ltd. He has an uncanny knack at being able to recognise and articulate a leader’s current business context for change and working out what needs to be done. His ability to see and combine the personal and the organisational perspectives enables him to deliver sustained and meaningful change with the leadership teams he engages with. He lives in Kenny, Aberdeenshire, with his wife and family, enjoying both the golf course and his office being in equal walking distance, and walking in the local hills.
