Cassie Kozyrkov, Chief Decision Scientist at Google, has been announced as the latest speaker at Data Summit, the two-day international conference that forms part of the data innovation festival, DataFest19, being held in Scotland this March.
As Chief Decision Scientist at Google Cloud, Cassie advises teams on decision processes, AI strategy, and building data-driven organisations. She previously held the role of Chief Data Scientist in Google’s Office of the CTO.
Cassie is joined on the Data Summit programme by Oxford University Economist, Dr Daniel Susskind, as well as Forbes Technology Council member Sally Eaves.
Daniel is a Fellow in Economics at Balliol College, Oxford University, where he teaches and researches. He is the co-author of the best-selling book, The Future of the Professions and his TED Talk on ‘the future of work’ has been viewed more than 1.3 million times.
Sally is an accomplished author who regularly contributes to leading business, technology and academic publications and has a new book scheduled for release in 2019. She is a thought leader in emergent technology such as Blockchain, AI, Machine Learning and VR/AR, and was recently shortlisted for the UK IT Woman of the Year Business Role Model Award.
Cassie, Daniel and Sally join an already stellar line-up of some of the world’s most renowned and respected data science leaders, innovators and researchers set to take the stage at the Assembly Rooms in Edinburgh on the 21st and 22nd March. They join confirmed keynotes Christopher Wylie, the whistle blower in the Facebook-Cambridge Analytica data scandal and Dr Sue Black OBE, Professor of Computer Science and Technology Evangelist at Durham University.
