SCOTTISH TECH CONSULTANCY, COOPER SOFTWARE, REPORTS 27% INCREASE IN YEAR END REVENUE

Scottish-based technology consultancy, Cooper Software, has reported a 27% increase in revenue for the current year end. Despite the challenges presented by COVID-19, the increase has been driven by a series of key business wins which has seen the company undertake large-scale ERP implementation projects for clients including Gordon & MacPhail, Scot JCB, Harland & Wolff and Intelligent Energy.

Since its formation in 2005, Cooper Software has grown to become one of Europe’s largest independent providers of products, consulting and support for Enterprise software solutions. To date the company has delivered over 1500 solutions for over 300 clients across the world.

The growth in revenue has been driven across all business lines, particularly through several key business wins to implement the ERP platform, IFS, for new customers. In addition, the business has continued to develop their own bespoke complementary products and solutions, helping clients to bridge functionality gaps and gain more from their ERP investment.

Commenting on the results, Frank Cooper, Executive Chairman of Cooper Software said, “Large scale ERP implementation projects contributed significantly to our revenues in the second half of the year. This comes as a direct result of our strategy to meet the needs of specific industry sectors and their particular market issues, for example the whisky industry, manufacturing, construction and oil & gas.”

Frank continued, “Furthermore, the level of specialism we have displayed when delivering for our customers has led us to achieve IFS Gold Channel Partnerstatus, positioning us as a leader in our field. Added to this we have signed channel partner agreements with IFS in the DACH and Benelux territories, which will allow us to capitalise on a market opportunity to sell and deliver IFS solutions to customers within these regions.”

The company will continue to invest in staff at its Scottish head office, having grown its headcount by 20 people in the last 12-months. The senior leadership team has been significantly strengthened by two recent appointments. David Greenlees has joined the business as Chief Commercial Officer, while Jonathan Dunn takes up the role of Chief Growth & Strategy Officer. Both join the business with a wealth of experience gained within the technology and ERP industry and will be instrumental in supporting the company’s strategy to drive their growth ambitions.

Frank commented, “David and Jonathan are key appointments, both bringing a wealth of experience to the business. They will play key roles in shaping our strategy as we embark on the next chapter of growth as we further develop our partnership with IFS and continue to work closely with our clients, to achieve recurring revenue from licensing, products and our 24/7 service support desk.”
